Kameno- meaning “Burnt” in Greek—is the love child of two friends, Sammy and Raff. While travelling the world and attempting to be professional skiers, they discovered their mutual love of card games. Kameno, which had been played by Raff’s Greek family for generations, quickly became their favourite- and now with the help of Benji we can bring it to you.
Card games are an undervalued pastime. They offer a break from the frantic screens and impersonal connections of modern life by creating comfortable social situations that encourage genuine conversation. Did we mention they’re also the best fun?

Where did Kameno come from?
It was on a training trip in New Zealand in 2024 where Sam and Raff came up with Kameno. They where living in a cosy cottage with no Wi-fi or service and spent their downtime adapting and playing what is now Kameno. Through the weeks, not only did they think they could adapt this game to become a game loved and played by many, but they also realised the benefits of being away from their screens and using the game as a tool to battle the ups and downs of life and being athletes. In a world surrounded by screens, distractions and technology, the boys being forced to get away from those opened up the opportunity to discover the importance of not being surrounded by them.
